Um sonho.

To express his world of dreams and idyllic purity, Marc filled his pictures with animals, the symbols of what is basic and natural. In turn, the colouring filled not only a pictorial function but especially significant through its symbolization: yellow was for him femenine, blue masculine, red raw material. Here, in this work, which only the dream can make explicable, he offers us the Arcadian harmony between the human being and the animals that surround him, a demonstration of his idea about paradise lost, in a setting of uncontaminated purity.
